A Catcher in the Rye Literary Analysis Essay Topics

A Catcher in the Rye Literary Analysis Essay TopicsA Catcher in the Rye is considered to be a classic by many. It's not that many people though is it a good literary analysis essay topic. Some people have suggested that if you do not like it, that means you cannot write about it, but I disagree. I believe you can write about this book and not hate it, even if you do not like it.In the story of The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield is a fourteen-year-old boy who has been bullied at school for years. His father died many years ago, leaving him with his mother and her alcoholic brother. He lives in a trailer park with his two sisters, who are also orphans. Because of this, he has a great deal of anger inside of him. His story is very much like many kids who have had similar experiences. When Holden first starts getting teased in school, he does not know how to handle it. He tries to be as mild-mannered as possible and ignores it all, but no matter what he does, the teasing never stops . One day, he tries to avoid it and goes home. Here comes the trouble.Later on in the story, Holden is in a meeting where he thinks he can take the bullies out of his life, but in fact, he gives them a better way to torment him and the other kids in the park. The bullies see what he is doing and start chasing him. He calls them 'demented, funny little figures' and they call him 'the Catcher'. The last part of the story is Holden, running from his bullies in the park to the police station. They just want to kill him because he is a 'snitch'snob'.There is a subplot of his father being killed by another man who really needs to be put into a hospital and not put into a farm because it's too tough life to handle. This creates an emotional connection between Holden and his father. So, is it difficult to write about Catcher in the Rye? Well, as I said, I can write about it and not hate it. My favorite characters are Holden Caulfield and J.D. Dancy, who both have such a heartbreaking story. Both of them go through a lot and struggle, which I think makes them very interesting characters to write about. The first part of the book is incredibly long and I think it is because it is the starting point to the great trilogy. But, that is only my opinion and I'm sure there is a different reason. If you can read this book without getting bored, you have another great book in you.The short story is very popular among literary analysis essay topics because of the importance of characterization and supporting characters. This is why this book is also used as one of the key reference points in educational courses and essays.
